Bengaluru and the Crisis of Imagination
mod[ule]#1 is the first edition of a monthly editorial series by Mod Foundation as part of our endeavour to make our cities observable by its citizens.
Each issue examines an urban question through research, observation, design, and public discourse–connecting policy, governance, everyday life, and the ways we collectively imagine the future.
The first edition, “Bengaluru and the Crisis of Imagination,” reflects on how fragmented governance, private retreat, and narrow visions of development have shaped the city we inhabit today. It asks a deeper question: before solving urban problems, do we know what kind of city we are trying to build?
Editorial written by Shreya G A and Amritha Ganapathy.
