Sensing Local Foundation
In 2019, a report was produced by Sensing Local in collaboration with Citizens for Bengaluru, Janaagraha, CIVIC, Reap Benefit and CFAR. The aim of the study (titled, “Ward as a unit of change”) was to understand how ward committees can be more effective in tackling urban issues and their functioning be streamlined.
In this series about Ward Committees in Bengaluru, we talk to Sobia Zoheb from Sensing Local Foundation, about ward committees and their potential in ushering a revolution in bottom-up governance and development in urban areas.
‘City Dialogues’ aims to navigate diverse perspectives of the city through the eyes of the city populace and field experts. Through the series, we facilitate conversations about Bengaluru in an attempt to make our city more observable.
