Bangalore in Progress
Held at the BLR Design Centre, from 14th to 18th July 2025, Under Construction: Bangalore in Progress was an immersive exhibition that critically examined Bengaluru’s big-budget mobility infrastructure projects through a citizen-focused lens. Featuring large-scale mapping of over 200 projects, interactive data visualisations, and hands-on activity zones, the exhibition invited visitors to question what “progress” really means for the city’s mobility.
With over 200 participants — from students and residents to bureaucrats and professionals — the exhibition revealed recurring concerns: the gap between promises and delivery, inequities in access, and the urgent need to strengthen public transport, improve walkability, and value existing infrastructure and greenery.
The project sits within Mod Foundation’s research theme of Infraculture, which reimagines infrastructure not as a purely technical system but as a cultural and social organism — shaping how we live, move, and connect.
